Help Review Dad Help Sick Kids!

My youngest daughter, Faith, was four years old when she was diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease. Faith spent the next several years in and out of the hospital, as her doctors struggled to find just the right mixture of medication to prevent her frequent flare-ups. During that time, the staff at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield, Wisconsin, took excellent care of my scared, sick little girl.

During one of her periods of remission, Faith was featured in Marshfield Clinic’s Cattails Magazine.

Faith is now nine years old and doing much better. She is still on a regimen of two shots per week, to regulate her immune system and help keep her symptoms under control. But she hasn’t had to be admitted to the hospital in nearly two years. Not a day goes by that I don’t thank God for Faith’s continued health.

And now, I have a chance to give back.

On November 2nd, I’ll be joining with other gamers to raise money for The Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) through Extra Life 2013. All the proceeds that I raise will be going directly to the very same hospital that helped heal my little girl.

My personal goal is $200 in donations. But Review Dad also has a team goal of $1,000 in total donations. Each team member is playing for his or her own CMN hospital, as well. Here’s where we currently are towards our team goal:

So how can you help? By clicking on either one of the donation buttons above and supporting our individual or team efforts with even the smallest of donations, you’ll be helping us meet our goal. And by sharing this post with your friends on social media (click the share buttons on the left side of this article), you’ll be helping spread the word.

Alternatively, you can get involved by joining the Review Dad Extra Life Team and earning money for the hospital of your choice!

Whether you become a team member, make a donation, or simply share this post on your Facebook timeline, I very much appreciate your efforts to help us meet SMASH our donation goal.

I thank you, The Children’s Miracle Network thanks you, and my little Faithy thanks you. And yes, Faith will be playing, too.

P.S. – My friend and I will be live-streaming our Extra Life marathon gaming session on the Review Dad Twitch channel. Tune in on November 2nd and cheer us on!

Still not sure if Extra Life is something you’d like to support? Here’s the story of Victoria Enmon, a Leukemia patient who was the inspiration behind the Extra Life movement:
