Friday Favorites: MLB 14 The Show, White Tiles, Grom

MLB 14 The Show

Baseball has arrived on the PlayStation 4 and I couldn’t be happier.

Welcome to another edition of Friday Favorites! May is turning into quite the travel month, so there hasn’t been a Friday Favorites for the last couple of weeks. Let’s get right to it.

MLB 14 The Show

Earlier this year, I picked MLB 14 The Show as one of my top video game pre-orders. I’m happy to report that the PlayStation 4 version has been released and is even better than I expected. The developers made a number of welcome changes to the Road To The Show mode, which is my favorite way to play the game.

Now, if I could just stop my Road To The Show player from constantly breaking his hand, wrist, etc, I’d be all set. I’ll definitely be playing a lot of this one.

Here’s the trailer:

MLB 14 The Show is available for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation Vita.

Yesterday, I put out a call on Facebook and Twitter, asking you guys what your favorites of the week were. Here are a couple of your responses.

White Tiles

My wife learned about this free, addicting app from some girls at church youth group. Now my daughters can’t get enough of it.

There are a number of similar versions, available for several platforms, but the object of the game is the same in all the versions: tap the black tiles while avoiding the white ones as they scroll down the screen. The tiles scroll faster as you continue. Here’s a video I found of a very impressive high score:

As I mentioned, there are a number of versions of this app, with similar names and themes. Here’s a link to the free Android version, Tap Black: Avoid white tile.

2014 Honda Grom

Bonnie mentioned on Twitter that her husband has been loving his 2014 Honda Grom motorcycle, otherwise known as a “Monkey Bike.”

Here’s Honda’s official video for the Grom:

Bonnie’s husband also wrote a review of the 2014 Honda Grom.

And with that, another Friday Favorites is in the books. What were your favorite things this week? Tell everybody about it in the comments! Maybe I’ll pick your favorite to feature in next week’s post.
