Weight Loss Report Week 13: My First Setback
Well, I guess it had to happen eventually. It seems The Pumpkin Curse has caught up with me, and I’ve gained back the two pounds I lost last week.
I’d be lying if I said that seeing 149 on the scale again wasn’t a little disappointing. But I’m trying to use it as motivation to get back on track. It’s not like I had completely fallen off the wagon, but I definitely had been slacking off on my water intake, and eating cheat foods a little too often. For the last few weeks, the 80/20 rule was more like the 60/40 rule.
On the bright side, I’m still under 150 pounds, I’m able to bench press more than my own body weight for the first time ever, and I’m finally below 20% body fat. Now I just need to get refocused, and continue building on those successes.
I’ll be on vacation next week, so sticking to my plan could be a bit of a challenge. Fortunately, the Medifast meals are extremely portable. Hopefully, between the meals and all the walking and swimming we’ll be doing, I won’t have another disappointing week.
