Questions – A Poem

I look to the sky and ask him, ‘Why?’
but the sky holds no answers
only clouds rolling by

I plead with time, ‘Please, turn back your hands!’
but time just laughs
and continues shifting the sands

The answers lie within my own mind
but I can’t open my eyes
afraid what I’ll find

Ignorance is bliss
Justice is blind
Reality is painful
and the Truth is unkind
